3 Minutes Dead Silence

MFA International Acting students at East 15 Theatre School, 2021

In April 2021 after a year of lockdowns I was privileged to be back in the rehearsal studio with the MFA International Acting students at East 15 Theatre School making a headphone verbatim show called 3 Minutes Dead Silence .

Three Minutes Dead Silence is a headphone verbatim work that shines a light on the realities and experiences of an American education. Actors wearing headphones share first-hand testimonies of the American classroom across the generations. From air-raids to earthquake drills to active shooter drills,  audiences are transported into a world where a police presence on campus is the norm. A world where faith, hope, promise and trauma sit side-by-side.
