My largest body of work that I have directed for the theatre has been with Tamasha where I was Co-Artistic Director from 1989 to 2013. With Tamasha I built a body of work, an audience for that work and a community of artists who could play in the work. My work with Tamasha helped launch the careers of many successful artists : Parminder Nagra, Archie Panjabi, Jimmy Mistri and many others. During my time with Tamasha it was my pleasure to nurture and provide platforms for an abundance of work from the Asian diaspora. More recently I have branched out and am producing theatre work both in the UK and in Australia from an intracultural perspective.
